Tommy Lee Jones Movie Reviews

Movies are rated from 1 to 5 stars (1 star being terrible, 5 being outstanding)."Top Pick!" indicates a movie that I think is very good and will have a lot of popular appeal.

Movie links go to Amazon.com. If the film you are interested in is out-of-print, I recommend ordering a used copy via Amazon.com. I've had very good luck obtaining hard-to-find and obscure films this way.

Batman Forever - Val Kilmer Batman Forever ***

Strange, not entirely great, but still fun sequel to the Batman movies. Jones hams it up along with many other big stars.

Blown Away - Jeff Bridges Blown Away ****

Jones plays a psycho bad guy again, but he's so good at it. Good action film.

Eyes of Laura Mars - Faye Dunaway, Tommy Lee JonesThe Eyes of Laura Mars ****

Big hit of the '70s. Good mystery, but it just reeks of '70s trendiness. But oh well, Jones looks fabulous.

Under Siege Under Seige ****

Another one of those fun action films that you shouldn't take too seriously (especially if Steven Seagal is in it). Jones is great and chews the scenery as a fabulously evil bad guy.

Nate and HayesNate and Hayes ****

Underrated and underappreciated fun pirate flick. Cute and worth a watch.

Stranger on my LandStranger on my Land ***

Based on one of those sincere "issue" films from the '70s and '80s, Jones plays a Vietnam vet who fights to keep his land.

Small SoldiersSmall Soldiers ****

Fun science fiction action film, good for all ages. Jones is the voice of a toy soldier come to life. Strange but amusing.
